THE FOUNDER
John G. Molin, the founder of Molin Concrete Products Company, was born on February 21, 1862, in Olofsbo Parish in Madesjo, Sweden. He was the son of Swedish farmers Alfred Isrealsson Molin and Helena Peters Dotter. John G. Molin came to America in 1883. He was 21 years of age. He settled in St. Paul, MN where he eventually met and married Ingrid Strom on November 3, 1888. Ingrid had also emigrated from Sweden. Together they homesteaded 10 acres of property on Sherburne Ave. and St. Albans St. in St. Paul. It was here that John and Ingrid raised their nine children, five sons and four daughters. A builder by trade, John G. Molin worked in partnership with several general contractors before starting his own company
