3RD GENERATION
The late 1940s brought another generation of Molins into the business. These five cousins were all sons of the brothers and sisters of the second generation and grandsons of the founder, John G. Molin.

They included:
John E. Molin son of Edward Molin 1920 -
Donald Flood son of Olga Molin Flood 1923 -
Herb Molin Jr. son of Herbert Molin Sr. 1925 - 2000
William C. Molin son of Carl Oscar Molin 1928 -
Richard Olsen son of Freda Molin Olsen 1933 -

From 1915 to the early 1920s, John's five sons entered the business.

The five cousins all started out as helpers and laborers and would go on to play important roles in the future direction of the company. The 1950s were the beginning of a new era for the company as they acquired the rights to a Flexicore Hollow Core manufacturing process. This prestressed floor and roof deck product became a main-stay for Molin, having produced over 50 million square feet to date. By the 1960s, the company was manufacturing other precast products such as structural beams, columns and architectural precast. As the second generation began to retire, the younger group took control and started plans to build an expanded facility in a new location. Operations began at the current site in Lino Lakes, MN in the fall of 1971.
