Molin Concrete took advantage of the slow economy of 2001 by adding another addition to their plant. This new plant, which consisted of 50,000 square feet granted Molin a larger economy of scale as well as enriching their hollow core product line with a dry cast hollow core product. This dry cast production method consisted of 6 beds, 400 feet long pouring concrete with an extrusion process. Taking what they had seen in Europe, the Molin team also included an advanced yarding system with overhead gantry cranes. This feature allowed Molin to store and retrieve product with a greater efficiency that helped reduce noise and dust normally associated with that process.
