QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Control

Molin Concrete is a PCI Certified facility. This certification means that all of the materials used, as well as quality control procedures are documented in our quality systems manual. Mill certifications are obtained and verified for cement, fly ash, fly ash/slag mixture, aggregates, prestressing, strand, and rebar to meet our design specifications. Rock and sand are tested for gradation and moisture content to achieve an optimum mix design. The quality control team also performs daily tests on multiple batches of concrete. Samples are created from these tests in order to determine P.S.I. strength at 24-hour and 28-day intervals. Data such as concrete slump, air content, and concrete temperature are recorded and kept on file. In addition, quality control is responsible for performing pre-pour and post-pour checks on our products ensuring that the formwork and the finished product all meet tolerances and specifications. In order to maintain PCI Certification, our plant is audited 2 times annually by an independent engineering firm; which ensures that materials are being tracked properly, and that our quality assurance procedures are followed.
