Banaadir Academy

Molin Concrete Products Company produced the architectural precast insulated wall panels for the new Banaadir Academy. The Banaadir Academy project is a K-8 charter school connected to Minnesota Transitions Charter School. This project is located in the diverse North Minneapolis. The project was an addition constructed by The Bainey Group and will include additional classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, and additional restrooms. According to Brady Mueller, principal architect for Krech O’Brien Mueller & Associates, “the addition at Banaadir is unique in that the school leases its building which means both the school and the owner are actively involved in the project.” The City of Minneapolis was also involved in the design review including feedback on the desired color and texture of the exterior architectural precast panels. Molin’s scope of work included the design, production, and installation of the architectural precast wall panels.
