Molin Concrete Products produced the architectural precast concrete wall panels and prestressed concrete beams for this new building located in Sartell, MN. The new 53,000-square-foot facility was designed to offer numerous amenities for all ages. Sartell Mayor Sarah Jane Nicoll said “It’s going to be a recreational and social gem for our community. It will offer an opportunity for people to be able to come and be a community.” The facility includes a senior center, a learning and innovation center, multi-purpose rooms, three full-size gymnasiums, a walking track, a Kids Zone, and outdoor trails utilizing the Lake Francis area.

Molin engaged with the design team to land on the desired color and texture of the exterior architectural precast panels. During meetings with the architect Molin submitted a variety of architectural precast samples used for selecting the eventual selection which has a combination of etched and exposed aggregate finished and an as-cast accent band. Molin’s scope of work included the design, production, and installation of the architectural precast wall panels and structural prestressed beams.
